These members met while attending local bluegrass jam sessions and festivals held regularly throughout Central Virginia and all share a love of bluegrass music traditions. In a of review of The Courtney Hollow Bands most recent recording, “Strike 3”, Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine called the CD “bluegrass music at its best.” The band has a hard driving, traditional bluegrass sound with excellent instrumentation and fine vocal harmonies. Celebrating 8 years together, the band has played numerous festivals, fairs and performance venues throughout the mid-Atlantic.
